Importing data from another worksheet when you type a name

Hi so, I want to add a way to get information from a different worksheet to automatically fill in the rows that are required when you type in the name. I have more data that will be added to the "Data" sheet in due time, so it needs to be usable for any other data that's in that worksheet as well

For instance, typing ATTCL in B4 then populates Name D+E, Density spec H+I, and sizes N5,N6,N7 column's/rows with the data from the other worksheet.

    Any help appreciated

    Thanks.

Suggest you post some sample data instead of blank cells that require us to guess. Mocked up solution is also beneficial. Have researched Vlookup function or Xlookup function. Please provide the Excel version you are using as that will dictate which formula or function will work best for you.

    crosspost: https://www.mrexcel.com/board/thread...sheet.1257297/

Rule 7: Cross-posting Without Telling Us

Your post does not comply with Rule 3 of our Forum RULES. Do not cross-post your question on multiple forums without telling us about your threads on other forums.

Post a link to any other forums where you have asked the same question.

Cross-posting is when you post the same question in other forums on the web. The last thing you want to do is waste people's time working on an issue you have already resolved elsewhere. We prefer that you not cross-post at all, but if you do (and it's unlikely to go unnoticed), you MUST provide a link (copy the url from the address bar in your browser) to the cross-post.

Read this to understand why we ask you to do this.

I have added the crosspost reference for you today. Please comply with this and all our rules in the future

However, if you continue to crosspost, you can expect to have your thread BLOCKED until you update it yourself.

    Apologies,

The worksheet I've attached to the post has the relevant information inputted and what cells I am looking to format. I've looked up Vlookup and INDEX, tired doing it myself to no avail, just get a invalid error. I'm using 365

Hi Sam Burton Please update your attachment, and also include the handwritten data of your expected results in the attachment. D5: M7 is blank there, and no one knows what results you want to get
It's not difficult to write the formula, but the problem is that the description of the position in POST # 1 is very vague and the desired result is blank
