    COUNTIFS issues

    Hello,
I am having trouble with COUNTIFS. My first 3 hours were dealing with VALUE errors. Now, I have avoided errors, but my counts are not correct.

I am looking to count occurrences of W3024 in the first table, column D. I only need the count IF the value of 1 is found in the second table under column J.
So, the correct count of W3024 should be 3, not 1 as calculated. I guess I'm unsure of how to write the condition to match the 1.

    My formula is:

Hello avk, this is not working for me. It should only count items in table 1 if a number one is in the first column of table 2.

There is only 1 occurrence of W3024 in column D where a 1 is present in column J

    Re: COUNTIFS issues

I have to breakdown counts of all cabinet models by building. So if a 1,2,3 etc building number appears in the table, I need to have all occurrences of a particular cabinet model to be counted.
So, it seems that a counting formula may not work, because all data needs to in the same row? Maybe I need to name ranges? Maybe I need to re-design. Thanks for the input ByteMarks.

    Re: COUNTIFS issues

I ended up putting buildings in the same table, and solved with:
    =COUNTIFS(Table1[Wall Cabinets], A4, Table1[BUILDING 1], "X")

    Thanks All!
