SUMIFS will not work correctly
I'm trying to sum the "duration in minutes" column for all non blank sells. If I fill all the cells in it works, if there are any blanks then the formula gets the wrong answer and I have no idea why. For example column E the correct answer should be 737 not 752. Formulas are in row 45 and below. Does anyone know why this simple formula won't work?

That said, it still gives the same result.
Probably best not to use "*" as a marker as it is more generally used as a wild card.

I know. That said, the filter extracts the values from column C where column E is not blank and then SUMs them.
Cell E43 looks blank, but it's not. If you use =LEN(E43) it returns 1, not 0. That's why you get 752 not 737.
Check other cells.
Seems someone put a space in the cell so excel reads it as not blank. Thanks for your help. This is also why i hate using other peoples excel sheets.Originally Posted by TMS
