HELP! Trying to figure out how to calculate time?

I run a daycare and parents check in and check out at different times. I'm trying to formulate a worksheet where all I have to do is plug in the times in and the times out and it will automatically enter the total hours. I've figured it out by putting in the exact times and formulating one cell, but to formulate several cells with different times is where I'm stuck... Any Help Would be much appreciated.. Thank You... Enter your TIME IN in column A. Format column A as a time (I used the '1:30 PM' format).
Enter your TIME OUT in column B. Format column B as a time (I used the '1:30 PM' format).
In column C enter =B2-A2. Format column C as a time (I used the '37:30:55' format).
If you wish you can add a sum at the bottom of column C to get the sum of your total time (format remains the same as the rest of column C).
