movie project

Hi,

I'm listing my favorite movies with excel and don't know how to solve the following problem:

On the first sheet "Movies" I have all the data about different movies:
name, year, producer, main actor, etcetc.

To the second sheet I would like to make a look up of all movies that are made in year 1990 for example. 2nd sheet would also show name, year, and maybe some other data also.


Any ideas how to solve this?

An easier approach, in the first sheet itself, just select the column headers - name, year, producer, actor, etc. Click on DATA > FILTER > AUTO FILTER.

Now just select the required year from the year drop down.

But I want "search results" to be on another sheet.

I have used Vlookup before but it doesn't seem to alone fit for this.

You expect multiple outputs and so vlookup is not the right choice. You will have to use VBA for this.
