    statistical functions

    I have a monthly data:Feb-04-Feb-05
    Feb-04 2,156
    .....
    Dec-04 3,844
    Jan-05 3,964
    Feb-05 4,001
I need to make a forecast for Jun-05,Jul-05,Aug-05
Which of statistical functions would be better to apply on this data? Thank
    you

    RE: statistical functions

If it is a simple linear or growth projection you may not need any of them.

First, look at the data. That is, create a simple line chart.

Identify whether there is trend and seasonality. Use your judgment.

Finally, use an appropriate model to extrapolate into the future.
