best program to do purchasing analysis for multiple locations?

    When I worked at a restaurant I used a relational database like Access or
    Paradox to do purchase order comparisons. It really depends on exactly what
    you want to accomplish. You need to provide more information.

    I am doing a purchasing analysis for multiple restaurants. I need to enter
    all their purchases by unit and total locations. What would be the best way?
    I will need total purchases for 40 locations. I will need to sort by like
    items for totals.
    Also, how would I set this up?
