how do I convert copied Text numbers into values in Excel?

Copied spreadsheet from third party program to create formulas. However,
numbers were inserted as TEXT "144,116,991.10" but the quotes only show when
reviewing values in the formuls error. Need to know how to covert this text
    into a number.
