    How do you password protect every other row by a specific COLOR?

    The cells can be edited for text, but the cell color cannot be altered.

    You can set the color using Conditional Formatting. An example formula would be for cell "s1" is =or(s1="",s1<>""). Under the fill tab select your background color. Even when the sheet is protected, the formatting cannot be changed.
