Hi, and welcome to the forum.
Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.
Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.

Got it - thanks for the advice. Here is manually calculated example.
so only 3 are converted to par if there are more than 3 only 3 will be done? as in example 1
J K L M N 1 9 10 11 12 13 2 3 4 3 4 4 3 4 6 7 5 8 9 5 3 3 2 4 5
does it matter which?
and if you were under par for all 18 holes would you still change 3?

yes, only three - it doesn't matter as long as the player gets the max benefit from the three
if the "worst" hole(s) is/are still under par then no- wouldn't change
ok this picks the last worst 3 and changes them
i put the formula under your expected results
note you had one wrong in player 3 which if filled red i think you had 4 in there
if they are par or under it changes nothing

This is absolutely amazing. Thank you a hundred times. I re-red the formula several times and it makes so much sense. I would have never figured that out on my own.
