    scheduling

I am trying to use excel to schedule
    mechanics for saturday.
I have groups like brake, lube etc.
each groups may have 2-5 mechanics.
For every Saturday, the list should pick one mechanic from each group.
next Saturday it should pick second mechanic.

IS it possible to do it in excel ?

    Thanks much

This can be done very easily by manually setting up column A with all the saturday dates that you want to schedule. Then in column B input the names of the Brake Mechanics, in Column C the names of the Lube mechanics etc.

Then highlight the list of brake mechanics and left click the square box in the lower right hand corner of the outlined selection and drag it down as far as the list of saturdays goes. This will repeat the list of mechanics in the order you typed them in as many times as you need. Repeat this for the next columns and the rows are your saturday schedules.

Never thought of the simple way of doing things.

    Thanks once again
