    Exclamation Need help with a possible IF statement

    Basically I have a spread sheet that has one column which is date dependent. If it is January, then the column needs to read JN, February the column should read FB, March the column should read MR, and so forth and so on. Any advice or tips? Thanks.

    I Think I have a similar problem. I have expiry dates for items, and if the expiry date is due in 30 days or less I need to highlight the text Red. Use conditional formatting. I now know from a thread I started that, you should use something similar to Cell value is less than TODAY()-30 - then choose the colour you want the text to be. However it hasn't worked and am trying to resolve this issue. Today() is 03/10/06 but when I enter a date that is obviously not comning up to the expiry date it is still the same colour =\ Help?

    use vlookup

    for c_pegram

    enter a 2 column lookup range somewhere in the workbook, i.e., M1:N12 as follows:

    1 JN
    2 FB
    3 MR
    ...

    Use this formula for the column heading:

    =VLOOKUP(MONTH(NOW()),M1:N12,2)

    Didnt work for me.

    I tried to copy and paste that formula into a spread sheet and it gave me a N/A value. Any more suggestions?

    Did you fill in the whole range of the cells M1 to N12?
