Hi,
I'm trying to do the following:
Use a separate worksheet in the same spreadsheet file to act as a variables page to store data that functions source information from. ie. Column A contains "Products" Column B contains the "Price" of that product.
In the main spreadsheet I have 3 columns; A (Product) is a Validation list from Column A on the variables page which shows a dropdown list of all the products, Column B is for the user to enter Quantity, Column C I want it to automatically calculate the Cost by determining the Product that was chosen in column A, multiplying it by the "Price" (which it will get from the relevant field on the variables worksheet) with the user specified Quantity on the main spreadsheet page.
Can someone tell me how I can go about doing this? I've been trawling the help and internet to work it out. Any help would be appreciated.
