hi there i have made 2 worksheets in my excel thing, one of the worksheet is a datasheet where all the information is stored i have applied condtional fomatting to the data , but when i do a VLOOKUP on the mainsheet it doesnt copy the conditnal formatting it only copies the values, can this be done please help.

Nope, 'fraid not. Best I can offer is that you set up conditional formatting on the cells containing the VLOOKUP formulae applying the same conditions.can this be done

Use the paintbrush icon and paste the same conditioning from your data sheet to your vlookup data
