    Timesheet Calculation

    Hi

I've had a bit of a play with absolutely no success at the following, and require some help.

In the industry I work in, there are different percentage rates for the amount of working hours & time of day, and wondering how this could all be achieved without having to manually do each part.

    For example:
    payrate ?
    start time ?
    finish time ?
total hours = finish time - start time (no issues so far)

    however

if total hours = more than 7h36m, it then needs to calculate 7h36m at 100% of payrate & the remainder at 150% of payrate. But then if the total hours = more than 10h36m, it then needs to calculate 7h36m at 100% of payrate & 3 hours at 150% of payrate and then remainder over 10h36m at 200%.
That was part 1, the second part if possible, if go from friday night into saturday, as soon as it hits midnight, the rate then goes to the next level (obviously I would need to define somewhere on form the different % rates for different types of shifts and at different times of day).
So if anyone is able to help with either of the above 2, with the first option being the priority, it would be most appreciated.
Unfortunately I have limited 'function' knowledge in excel, but the above is only for personal use so I can work out what my pay in total hours & gross would be with other items added like tax & super.

    Cheers

    current example here:
    payrate $15.00
    Sign On @ 10:45
    Sign Off @ 19:45
    Total work time = 9:00
as total work hours is above 7h36m, it needs to calculate 7h36m at 100% of payrate, then 1h24m at 150% of payrate, to give grand total

    Hi,

This might help with the first part

You will need to add a date for the second part and explain the conditions.

I think you would be better to have a table which you lookup for returns

Thanks for that. That has helped a certain way.

I will reply probably in the next couple of days exactly how the rest of it works once I fully work out the best way for me to explain how our pay system works. Unfortunately its a tiny bit complexed to a degree, and whilst a calculator, pen & paper generally does the job, its the minor things I forget to add to have the full outcome is why I am looking at doing this in excel so it works everything out to the nearest dollar (all bar the tax rate).
