    simple data vaildation help

hi there i wanto set up validation in two collmuns of data the collumns are g and h. the validation that i have set up in g2 is whole number <h2. this works but i want to do this in the whole collumn of g. for example i want the validation in g3 to be <h3.
also the validation in h2 is >g2, what i want is basically to set up a formulae to copy these 2 validations down the colummns, help please.

    Hi,

If I understand correctly ... just use Format Painter icon from your source cell to your destination cells ...

    No ...
Place your cursor on the reference cell which contains the conditional formatting you need to copy
Click on the icon which looks like a brush
click again on the destination cell...

    That' s it ...

mate youve lost me here lol confused
in cell g2 i have set up a validation whole number <h2 its not a conditonal formatting thing just a valdidation.
i want to put the same validation in cell g3 but change it to <h3 is there a quicker way of doing this rather than by putting in all the valdiations for each cell seperately

hope thats clearer my apologisies for not saying that in first place

    Sorry for the confusion ...
I though you wanted to replicate conditional formatting ...

Regarding Data Validation, my recommendation is to highlight the whole range for which the validation is required,
    then Allow Custom
    in Formula area
    =G2<H2

    That's it ...

    Well
    Highlight G2:G20
    Data Validation
    Settings
    in the Allow area
    select Custom
    in the Formula area
    =G2<H2
    OK

    Hope this is clear enough
