I've been trying to find a way to do a specific count on a database that I manage. I'm having alot of trouble figuring this out, hope someone can help! The database I'm using consists of 100+ multi-attribute entries (one attribute per column). The count I'm wanting to do is a multi-conditional count, using two of the attributes as the criteria. If I could stop here everything would be fine; here's where my problem arises. There are approx. 850 possible matches that the count would need to figure! That might be a bit confusing so here is an explination => There are 17 different types of attribute "A" and 50 different types of attribute "B" => "A(17)" * "B(50)" = 850 possibilities. In theory, I could run all 850 possible counts for each single entry, but that would not be worth the time it would take to do so. To throw another stick in the gears, I only want the count to run if attribute "C" has a ture/false value of true. Anyone have any ideas?
