Using FV for investments

When I use the FV function, it becomes a negative number as for a loan. How do I make it a positive number for investment? Could someone please email me the answer at [email protected]? This is my first time on this site, so I don't know the rules, but I really need to figure out the answer. Thanks

try entering your value of payments as a negative

Thanks, it worked. I just had to start =-FV(... and enter the formula.
