    Transposing a table

    Hi,

    Any suggestions on transforming table 1 into table 2 format?


    Table 1:
    Name Colour Size Weight
    Apple Red 10cm 20kg
    Peach Green 30cm 40kg
    Grape Black 50cm 60kg

    Table 2:
    Apple Red
    Apple 10cm
    Apple 20kg
    Peach Green
    Peach 30cm
    Peach 40kg
    Grape Black
    Grape 50cm
    Grape 60kg

    Here's a suggestion, select B2:D4 copy, click F2, Paste special > Transpose. This will put each group into there own column. Then insert columns between each group and the "Apple" in E1, copy down,"Peach" in G2 etc. etc.
