Average needed, but want to exclude some values

Hello my main goal is come up with an average for a certain range of values...but if a cell equals "continuation" then do not count it's corresponding numerical value towards the average.

i've attached a sample of the problem....hope it helps explain my situation better.

thanks, that worked for the first three equations...

can't figure out that last one: if equals "approve" and "continuation of above" then average corresponding time values in all three columns

please help!
