    car hire rental spreadsheet

    Hi,

basically i am doing a car hire rental spreadsheet for my college coursework. in one sheet i have prices of cars available by week and by day. in another sheet i want to be able to input the start and end date of the rental and then for it to calculate how many weeks and days this is, then to calculate the total cost. not too sure how i would do it.

    hope someone can help,

    thanks, Lee

Lee, we are unable to help directly with coursework/homework as you will appreciate it's a learning curve for you to research the things you need and try to work some examples yourself - that said here are a few links that will help you understand calculation of dates!
    Chip Pearson's Date & Time
Exceltip Avoid Neg values when calculating dates
ExcelUser help on datesAll these are specific to your question, once you have something worked out and have a specific bug with it then post back and we will point you in the right direction.
Not all forums are the same - seek and you shall find
