Question Collapse columns from left to right (not right to left)

    Hi,
I am trying to group some columns in a sheet by selecting the columns and then select Group and outline -> Group from the Data menu and then sort by column.

This makes the clickable + and - signs to appear, but the +/- is located on top of the column to the right of selected column area! Why to the right? I would like the +/- signs to appear to the _left_ of the selected column area.

How can I change this? I have looked for an option to change it, but have not found any.. Suggestions, anybody?

    Best regards,
    Siri

OK, finally I have solved this little problem..

On the Data menu, point to Group and Outline, and then click Settings.

Then clear out both check boxes (Summary rows below detail check box, Summary columns to right of detail check box).

By this the the group outline will be created "from the left" and not "from the right".

Thumbs up Re: Collapse columns from left to right (not right to left)

    A big THANK YOU!

I just want to add, that the "settings" thing in Excel 2010 is situated on the bottom right corner of the "Outline" tab - it just looks like a kind of a star or something - click on it and make the change!
