Show Selective Data

I created a drop down list in Excel. I want to know if there is a way to sort the data such that only select data will show. I.E. Lets say there are 10 entrys, 5 equal the value 1 and 5 equal the value 2. Lets say I want to see only the values that are 2 and hide all other values. I would also like to be able to choose the value 1 and have all other values be hidden, and then go back to having no values hidden. Is there a way to do that. Sorry for the long post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
