Hello,
I'm creating a time clock worksheet for my department and am curious to why I'm not being allowed to use macros when it's a shared file.
Is there a way around this?
Thanks
Nate

Hi Natepen
I am unsure what you mean. Are you trying to update the workbook while it is being used by other people on your network?
If so, I don't think Excel allows this. If you need to amend the workbook to include new or update VBA code, you will need to advise all users to get out of the application while you make the necessary amendments, then test your application prior to making it available for others to use.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Kind Regards,

I thought that would be the answer.
I wanted to setup a timeclock for my department and wanted them to just click a button and have it be a shared file so we can see who's all online and working from home but I'm starting to see that this might be impossible.
