I am exporting a daily item summary sheet from Quickbooks into Excel. The excel sheet is a Monthly summary of each day's totals.
DAY DATE CAKE 1QTY CAKE 1 AMT CAKE2QTY CAKE2AMT etc..
MON 7/2 (insert #) (insert$) (insert #) (insert$)
TUE 7/3 (insert #) (insert$) (insert #) (insert$)
The Monthly workbook was already created, so I just want to simplify the entries into that workbook.
My question becomes... with each day that I import my daily quickbooks list into excel, I want the numbers to go into the appropriate day that matches that list. So, if I import 7/2's data, I want those numbers to fill in the cells along the line for 7/2, not the line for 7/1 or 7/13, etc.
Is there a way for Excel to recognize the date at the top of the quickbooks imported list? If not, is there a way I can at least just enter the date into a cell and the workbook does the rest?
Thanks for any help!
