Hi everyone,
A bit difficult to clearly explain my issue, so I'll try to explain with a simplified example:
A word document shows a list of people, in alphabetical order and their ranking related to the alphabetical order.(The fields are populated from Excel, shown in the below example as <Fieldname>, through mail merge.)
And sentences refering to those people but through their ranking, not their names.
so something like this:
- Angie <Name1>
- Davon<Name2>
- Frank<Name3>
- Max<Name4>
Sentence:
the second <Rank2> and third <Rank3> will stay at the club.
-> the second being Davon and third being Frank.
My problem is that the number of people changes, which means also their ranking within the list. I have managed to be able to adapt the list, to show them in the correct alphbetical order within the list, even when initially entered at random and then sorted in excel:
- Angie <Name1>
- Davon<Name2>
- Esther <Name3>
- Frank<Name4>
- Max<Name5>
but I can't get the fields Rank to dynamically change as well in this case to:
the second <Rank2> and changed to fourth <Rank3> will stay at the club.
Is there a way to do this?
