Getting a result of a formula without actually typing values in..

    Hi all,

I want a formula that does the following:

In Cell D1 I want to write the result of this -

If A1 where to be 9 and B1 where to be 18 then what would C1 Be?

The in Cell D2 I want to be able to write the result of this -

If A1 where to be 15 and B1 where to be 19 what would C1 be?

C1 contains a formula relating to A1 and B1 and I don't actually want to type any values into A1,B1 or C1, I just want excel to work out the result of A1 and B1 being certain numbers in the background and display the result of C1 being these numbers in cells D1 and D2.

    I hope that makes sense,

    Many thanks!

Ok, I've attached the front page of the workbook that I want to use the formula in. I've had to take out most of the formulas and worksheets as they were making the file too big.

Basically, in cell E33 I want to put the result of increasing EOS sales by 25% (cell D9) and changing the standard discount to 15% (Cell I10).

In Cell E34 I want to put the result of increasing EOS sales by 25% and changing the standard discount to 17.5%.

In Cell F33 I want to put the result of increasing EOS sales by 30% and changing the standard discount to 15%.

    Etc..

In each of cell E33,E34,F33..etc I want to put the sales value that is created with these changes.

If you were to change the values in Cell I10 and D9 then a new sales value would appear in cell F22.

I just want to put what the resulting value of F22 would be in the appropiate cell.

So, for example, in cell E33 I want to say
"What would the sales value be if the user were to type in 25% in cell D9 and 15% in cell I10?"

    Does that help?
