Automatically calculates cell as formula

I am not sure what option I clicked but whenever I type in information in an excel cell it automatically inserts and = sign and calculates the cell. For instant if I type 5 + 5 in a cell it will automatically insert a = sign and show a value of ten instead of 5 + 5. Does anybody know how to take this of?
