Names across multiple spreadsheets

I have multiple identical sheets with certain cells named the same. I have a stats sheet that I want to program to locate data from a cell in each sheet with the same name.

Right now, =SUM(January:April!B2) works but I want it to look for "APPLETOTAL" instead of B2 in the sheets between January and April. Is this possible? What is the formula I should type in. Whenever I type =SUM(January:April!APPLETOTAL) I get an error.
