extracting random data and sorting into cells

I am trying to apply a formula to extract a line of data and moving that data into several different cells.

for example in cell A1 it has :
    Chico 55 mansfield av. [code55] total $55.81

I want to put in a formula that automatically extracts each word that is separated by a space.

    Any help would be great,
    txs,
    chico

    hi,

you could use data>text to columns> delimited> tick the space and then finish

thanks for help steve but this won't quite do the trick. doing it that way separates some data that i dont want separated.

I will use a different example...let's say in cell A2 it contains :

    Lee Ann Smith 101 A 49th st [code43] total $125.22

I would want Lee Ann to get moved over into one cell instead of two cells. using the data>text to columns way puts too much info in too many cells.
