Merging duplicates and adding their unique values

I am trying to take data from"A" that has unique values in "B" and create new columns "F" & "G" that has the "A" duplicates removed but has summed the values from "B" into the new column "G". Does any of that make sense? I've attached a file to illustrate what I'm trying to do. I do not need to have separate columns if there is a way to merge and add existing columns A & B. Thanks in advance for the help.

One way would be to add a header row and do a Pivot Table, col A in row field and Sum of col B in the data field.

    Stephen,

I took a quick tutorial on how to build a pivot table, and it showed how to do what you suggested. Just wanted to say thanks! You saved me a ton of time!

    Thanks,
    Rich
