    convert a matrix in excel

    Hello,

    I have a matrx, say 1 2 3 4 and I want to have it the way 4 3 2 1.
    Can you help me? Thanks a lot!

    Where is the matrix? Is it in a worksheet range eg A1:A4? You could simply use the Sort command and Sort Descending. If you want a formula then perhaps:

    =INDEX($A$1:$A$4,ROWS($A$4:$A1))

    copied down eg in B1:B4

    Thanks for your help. Sorting would not work, because I need the sequence. I have a matrix (A1:A4) and I need the matrix to be (a4:a1).
    From say 3245 to 5423, like the sequence backwards.

    Did you try the formula I gave? If this doesn't do what you want, then you need to explain in verbose steps exactly where you want your matrix to reside following conversion.

    Richard, I found a way. I just assinged a nummer to each row and sorted. Actually easy. Thank you.
