Averaging numbers while ignoring blank cells.

If I am averaging several cells together, and one of the cells is returning a "" blank value from another calculation that that particular cell was doing, how do I get the average formula to ignore that cell in the calculation of averaging cells that DO have a number in them?

    Thanks...

    Thanks so much!

I was using (=AVERAGE(F6+I6......) The plus sign was messing me up. I'm still trying to get used to the " , " inbetween cells.

    Thanks.

.. or you could enter a range intead of all the cells with ',' between, if your cells are not spread all over the sheet.

    Eg:

    =AVERAGE(F6:P6)

to average all non blank cells from F6 to P6.
