    Multiplying columns of numbers

    Hi,

Sorry if this seems rather a basic question but I am a bit of a newbie. Basically I have columns of numbers eg.

    123
    23
    34
    56
    6
    621
    etc.....

and say I want to muliply them all by, say, 2 so I'd get a column of numbers which would read

    246
    46
    68
    112
    12
    1242
    etc.....

How exactly do I perform this kind of mass-multiplication? Presumably with a function of some kind? I've played around with them but can't seem to find one which does it.

    Thanks!

Place a number 2 in any cell, copy it then select your range of numbers, right click > paste special > multiply
