    Try this user defined function

Please Login or Register to view this content.

    Use the formula

    =CountSpecial(B1:B4,"Y")

    in B5 etc.

    Weekly Auto Report Generation.

I am also trying the same but little different i want data to be appeared in a column, but only if the data does not appear in the previous cells or in the row.

The data should appear based on the given From & To date and based on status like closed open or etc..

Your help to the above will be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Abdul Mannan

Thanks for the info mrice, but I have tried to get this into the spreadsheet and cannot get it to work.

I've added it to VB Editor and all seems to look ok, but cannot work out how to use it in the spreadsheet.

Unfortunately the Forum won't allow unzipped spreadsheets. Can you send me your e-mail via the link on my home page and I'll send it that way.
