    Map two excel spreadsheets based on a column

    Hi,
    I have two spreadsheets with one column common in both.

    I would like to merge both of them based on the common column & create one sheet.

    For instance,
    Spreadsheet1 SpreadSheet2

    FirstName, LastName, ID ID, Email

    Please tell me how to merge them. ID is unique for each row.

    I need this urgently. Thanks so much.

    You probably need to use the vlookup function.

    You might want to specify some additional info such as whether the ID column is identical in each spreadsheet. For instance, does each one contain exactly the same number of entries and are all the entries identical in each. I presume not.

    If not, which one is "the master" list? That is, does the "big" list contain ALL the entries of the "small" list?

    Do you want to merge them to a third worksheet or where? Are both columns in the same workbook or separate workbooks?
