    Variable Range Values??

I am setting up a table that has the days of the year across the top. I want to count the number of occurances over the last two months. so I want to do a counting formula:

    =Count([G6+86-60]:[G6+86])

Where G6 is my starting point
86 is the # of days of the year (today) &
60 is the number of days back from today

So tomorrow I put in a field the day# and it moves my range automatically

    Am I even close??

    Greg,
I couldn't understand how you arrived at the number of days provided, but perhaps the attached file can help you in the right direction.

Also, it would be a bad idea to have the days of the year displayed at the top and accross because excel only has 255 columns.

Feel free to modify any of the formulas and post back. I assume that you want to record an occurrence somewhere... that is why I created column C.

Thank you. I think the key is the INDIRECT FUNCTION. It is pulling the range value into the formula. I didn't understand that part.
