calling function with variable amount of results

ok, i am not sure if this is possible, or if i am wording it correctly, but i'll see how i go.

On the sheet attached i have a list of students and their age (limited to 16 and 17 at the moment), and a cell where a chosen age can be entered.

Basically, I want a function that will find all the people with the age in the age of choice cell, but automatically populate the right amount of cells. i.e. I already have an example of the output I want, but i had to manually drag the function down the correct amount of columns.
This is important because if 17 is chosen as the age, there is a different amount of results, so the length has to be changed. Also with the current formula, 17 year olds dont appear until about 8 rows down.
So basically, i want excel to automatically work out the right amount of cells to fill, and also have the 17's scores start at the beginning if that is the age.

Sorry if I make no sense, Meisi

    G'day,

    I think I understand !??!

When you re type the child's name the age will appear in the right cell, but also you want the age group in order the youngest to the oldest. ???

If so this is my way.

Enter the childern's name and if the order of the age is out then sort and filter the column needed.

For the age to populate the cell use the vlookup formula

no, you've misunderstood me, I want the formula to output the students who are of a certain age (entered in cell C26), but i want the formula to automatically fill the correct amount of cells, so i don't have to do it manually. I'm not really sure if this second bit is possible.
Also, all the funtions i make dont put the 17yr olds until the 9th cell, i need this fixed at least.
