trying to resolve the following formula in C1:
If cell A1 is TRUE, I want 0.15 to appear in cell C1. If cell B1 is TRUE I want 0 to appear in cell C1. If both cell A1 and B1 are FALSE, I want a blank to appear in cell C1. I could use CHOOSE but a little late to change the worksheet

Try this,
=IF(AND(A1="",B1=""),"",IF(A1<>"",0.15,"")) this works just incase one of the cells has a value of zero
