    Sumproduct Does Not Work In Closed Workbook

    Hi,

    I am using this formula in worksheet A in file A that reads from worksheet B from file B.

    =SUMPRODUCT(([Kev.xls]Sheet1!$D$2:$D$5000=E11)*([Kev.xls]Sheet1!$B$2:$B$5000=$J$9),[Kev.xls]Sheet1!$L$2:$L$5000)

    When I close both files and open worksheet A, it returns as #NA.

    If I open worksheet B, then it is fine.

    How can I get this formula in worksheet A to work without having to open worksheet B? Thanks.

    Try converting to Sum(IF())...

    Please Login or Register to view this content.
    this must be confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER not just ENTER

    But Sumproduct() should be okay with closed workbooks.
