    Autosum function Incorrect result

    I am using Excel 2007 - when I autosum
    9.29
    11.45
    Result is 20.75
    The figures 9.29 & 11.45 were obtained by dividing 62.38 & 76.91 by 4/47 (rounded up)
I suspect it might be something to do with the rounding up, but don't know how to correct it.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi ,

When you divide something in excel and round it off... on the screen the excel shows the rounded value but for any calculation excel uses the original values.

So what you need to do is copy those two value and do paste speical value... then try using autosum... u will get the expected result

Thanks all - found the 'Precision as displayed' in the Advance button which has 'cured' the error!
