generate actual date workbook is opened

Hello. I have a rolling 13 week spreadsheet. I need to have a month to date tracker inserted that would generate all month to date numbers based on the actual date of opening the workbook. 1st is this possible? 2nd HELP!!!

will put todays date in every time its opened

Thank you... that was a lot easier than I thought! Do you have any idea how to make the month to date calculations auto populate based on the date formula you just gave me?
