    Formula Auditing

When I enter a formula which results in an error (in this case VALUE), the formula auditing icons on the ribbon are "grayed out) so that I cannot audit the formula.

Do you know why it is grayed out and what I can do to "revive" it.

It's because you are in the edit mode. Maybe you are editing your formula in the formula bar.
So simply click the ENTER key, then try again.
I need your support to add reputations if my solution works.
