Here is the issue. I am helping someone work on a sheet. He has several thousand cells of information in a sheet. All cell data has been manually entered over the years. There are NO formulas in use in this sheet. What he did so long ago was setup his sheet by using the rows as the title headings for the data and entered the data into the columns going across the sheet. Instead of setting for example Column A to be Widget 1 and Column B to be Widget 2 and so on and so forth, he set Cell A1 as Widget 1 and then entered all of the data for Widget 1 in B1,C1,D1,E1..... Make sense???
Well for some reason he needs to make a pivot table and wants to know if there is a way to copy and paste all of the data entered in cells B1,C1,D1,E1 and so on into cells A2, A3, A4, A5 basically taking the data from a row format to a column format...now I remind you he has several thousand rows of data that would need to be converted...I have no clue how to do it. I thought he could just do a script or something that would just move the data from b1 to a2 and c1 to b2 and so on and so forth.
P.S. he is using Excel 2000
Please help :-)
