    Increment Numbers

    Hi,
    I would like a formula which will output:
    "cook"plus upto 3 numbers

    example: cook10, cook185
    thanks

    If you enter "cook10" in a cell and pull down it increments automatically

    I would the number to increase by 5 or so and not in sequential order.

    Increase by 5 is the start of a sequence. If you want the appearance of randomness, enter 2 of them manually:

    COOK10
    COOK27

    Then highlight both and drag down. This looks a little more random unless someone stares at it. We're just trying to give you simple answers to your question since you don't explain how/why the need to randomize your cook numbers are.
