Sum exclusive ocurrence values with 2 arguments

    Hello. I need help.

I have a problem using the function frequency.

    (A1)Name(B1)Value
    Analyst 1 ---- 1
    Analyst 2 ---- 1
    Analyst 2 ---- 2
    Analyst 3 ---- 2
    Analyst 1 ---- 2
    Analyst 2 ---- 2
    Analyst 2 ---- 2
    Analyst 1 ---- 1
    Analyst 3 ---- 2
    Analyst 3 ---- 2
    Analyst 2 ---- 2

    I hope this result:

    Analyst 1 - 2 ocurrences
    Analyst 2 - 2 ocurrences
    Analyst 3 - 1 ocurrence

    Somebody help me, please?

Re: Sum exclusive ocurrence values with 2 arguments

welcome to the forum, rapsouzas. it would be good if you can upload an excel file next time so that we don't have to re-create your data to test. assuming data in A2:B12, and the Analyst 1 to Analyst 3 is in E2 onwards, try this array formula:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer. Press F2 on that cell and try again.

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.
