Automatic assingment of cell values after comparison of two worksheets.

I'm kind of new to using Excel, I'm not very sure if this is in the right section. I'm just gonna ask away anyway . I have a project which involves data entry.

Assume there are two columns on a single worksheet named number and description respectively. This worksheet also has a third column, named value. The value column needs to be entered by me this worksheet.

There's another worksheet with the same number of columns (3) as mentioned but different entries under the columns, again I do the manual entry into the third column named value.

Assume I've finished entering the data under the column 'value' or the third column, is there anyway the same will automatically be entered in the next worksheet if the terms in the first two columns are similar. I hope I'm making sense.

It will be easier to see if you can post a sample workbook of what you want to achieve

Vandanavai, thank you so much for that. I think that formula is exactly what I want. Could you please tell me where I could find an explanation about the formula you've used. I need to use a similar formula with a few modifications. Thanks again.
