formula to calculate period with adjustable start and end

Hi!

I want to construct a formula that calculate the "present value" of a sum of future payments. The adjustable variables in the formula should be start, end, payment value and number of payments within the period. This payments should then be linked to the present value for that year.

Hi again!

I couldnt find the right formula there. Maybe I can try to code the formula by my self in macro or something. But cant find the codes for a simple "period" calculation. I need something to start with, because my programming skills dont exist.
