VBA name lookup, help for a helper

Heya,
wrote some code for a guy, it's awkward and takes forever to run, no one else responded so I took my best stab at it for my feeble-less-than-a-month-old VBA skills. I'd like to offer him an answer that didn't take his compy 30 minutes to do... I've seen y'all pull of code that would take me 100 lines in about 3 lines, so if anyone has some suggestions I'd love to pass along a better solution. I suggested that they post and ask for a better answer, but I think they didn't want to ask for more help after being given a solution that works, albeit poorly.
