I have a worksheet with columns of Unique Words and corresponding Frequency of Occurrence for several years. I would like to sort the data so the rows match up on same Unique Words across years.
I am using Excel 2007.

ecology,
It may be easier to create a new tabel with a lsit of all unique words, and then use the Vlookup() function to return the values for each year.
It is hard to be more specific, without an expamle of your data.

Transpose the values:I have a worksheet with columns of Unique Words and corresponding Frequency of Occurrence for several years. I would like to sort the data so the rows match up on same Unique Words across years.
1. Copy the list
2. Right click on an new cell
3. Select "Paste Special..."
4. Enable "Transpose"
5. Click ok!
Now you can use "Sort" in the "Data" ribbon to sort words and adjacent frequencies.
Thank you Kieran and Steve R. I will try your suggestions. Please see attached image of the dataset.

Attach a workbook [.xls] with your data and describe desired results.
When you attach an image, someone trying to help you would have to create a sample excel to show you the answer.
send an excel file, you'll get better and faster response.

Kieran and Steve R. have offered suggestions - thank you.
What I have done so far: I successfully transposed the data but have not figured out the Sort.
I am also trying the Vlookup() feature but stumped because I am trying to use it across worksheets.
Thank you - ecology
I created a unique list and used vlookup to get values.
